After the lunch at Daylight Mind Coffee Company, we visited Holoholokai Beach Park to see the Puako petroglyphs. It is located in the Mauna Lani area, just north of the Waikoloa village where we stay.
My first lunch was supposed to be at Beach Tree Bar inside the Four Season Resort. It seems that all of the restaurants inside Four Season are very good. Unfortunately, I missed the left turn into the resort, so I just continued straight to the Waikoloa resort area and had lunch in Daylight Mind Coffee Company.
I had a wonderful time on Big Island of Hawaii! All the beaches, mountains, waterfalls and food we had exceeded my expectations and made me want to see other places. Below is my actual 7-day Big Island itinerary from Sept 2 to Sept 8, 2017. Feel free to use it as a guide when planning a trip to Big Island.
Please note, the goal of my trip is to see as many things as possible, so I was a little bit rushed and didn’t spend a lot of time in each destination. You can definitely skip some places and focus on other destinations. I will write more about each destination I visited in separate posts. Places with the tag Recommended! are highly recommended, and I wished I stayed longer!
Having good food is always one of my objectives when traveling, and thus, of course, I want to have good food on Big Island. After reading a lot of articles and TripAdvisor posts, I put together the below list of Big Island restaurants. They are all highly recommended by the authors of these articles and posts. I will also post my reviews after the trip. Please note that many restaurants rated 4.0+ on Google Map are not on here. Please feel free to suggest other places in the comment section.
My sister and I are going to Big Island next week (Sept 2 to Sept 8, 2017). There are so many places to visit, so I spent a few days gathering info and put together the below itinerary. The goal is to visit as many places as possible and make the trip as smooth as possible.
I revised the plan on August 29 so that we can drive less and see more.
