Ha Café is a Vietnamese restaurant near Metrotown in Burnaby and is our default choice for Vietnamese cuisine. I almost always order their Special Beef Noodle Soup and it is delicious as always!
My favourite dish at this restaurant is pho, and I almost always order the Special Beef Noodle Soup. It is essentially a bowl of rice noodles in clear beef broth with some beef slices and beef meatballs. It is a must to add fresh basil leaves and lemon juice to make the dish smell and taste better. The serving is decent, and I am usually very full after finishing it. It is the best food to have in a cold or rainy weather!
Sometimes, we will order the spring rolls as our appetizer. They are crunchy and not too greasy. I love them with the dipping sauce and the pickled radish slices.
I ordered a glass of Thai Milk Tea in my most recent visit. I was surprised to see it in red. The taste was not very different from the milk tea I usually have. I am sure that there are ingredients that change the colour of this drink, but I couldn’t taste it. It was my first time to have it, and it is always nice to try new things.
Ha Café has been my go-to Vietnamese restaurant in Burnaby and will continue to be. I didn’t have a good impression of Vietnamese cuisine before I found this place, and I am very glad that Ha Café changed my mind. I highly recommend this place to everyone who lives nearby. The only catch is that this place is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Please remember to check their hours beforehand.
