On the last day of 2017, I brought my family to Iona Beach Regional Park. It was a sunny but windy day, and the scenes were gorgeous.
What we did
The park is located in the northwest of Vancouver International Airport. The main feature of the park is the 4 km-long jetty that penetrates into the Gulf of Georgia. It is only of the places I never think of visiting before.
We came after having a big meal at Continental Seafood Restaurant. We didn’t walk to the terminus of the jetty. It was super windy and our jackets were not enough to hold off the chilly wind. I think it will be very nice to go at a warmer time and look back at the city from the terminus.
It is a very nice place to walk, jog, or ride a bike. I will need to come back one day and get to the terminus!
