What’s Shakin is a famous smoothie store near Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden. Their smoothies are indeed the best I’ve had in recent years!

We only ordered smoothies as we weren’t hungry at that time. I ordered Farmers Favorite. It was on the top of their menu, so I assumed it was the most popular one. Its ingredients included papaya, banana, blueberries, apple juice, and coconut milk. My sister had Ginger Twist, with banana, papaya, ginger, and pineapple juice. The blend was also very delicious with a golden colour.
I loved my Farmers Favorite very much because it was very thick and rich in flavour. Both drinks contained loads of fresh fruits which seems to be not so common nowadays. They are really worth a try even though the price is a little bit high at $7.25 each.
They also offer light meals such as salads, sandwiches, wraps, nachos, and more.
What’s Shakin is the only restaurant in that area and maintains high-quality food and drinks even though they don’t have competitors. I will definitely come again when I visit Big Island in the future. It is a nice stop to rest after visiting the botanical garden or driving along the Hamakua coast.
