808 Grindz Cafe is a breakfast and lunch restaurant in downtown Kailua-Kona. We were leaving the west coast today, and this was our last meal before driving towards South Point. The fried rice was the best!!
Big Island Day 5 Itinerary

- Punalu’u Black Sand Beach

- [Dinner] Sombat’s Fresh Thai Cuisine
I ordered Fresh Fish of the Day Benedict. The first time I had egg benedict was on Day 1 at Daylight Mind Coffee Company. I liked it a lot, so I decided to have it again. I wouldn’t have many chances to have breakfast in restaurants, and this could be my last time.
However, after having it for the second time, I found that it was just ok. I had a false imagination that the hollandaise sauce would have a rich flavour, but it didn’t. Overall, I like the Benedict at Daylight Mind more.
The fried rice on the side is different. It was flavourful and very delicious. I was very very satisfied with it! I wish I knew it before I ordered!
My sister ordered the special of the day, which was stir-fry pork with fried rice. It was a much better choice. Both the pork and fried rice were very good. The serving was pretty big, and we had to take the leftover out.
I found 808 Grindz Cafe randomly on Google Map. It has a very high rating, and it didn’t disappoint us. I will for sure come back to this place again for their fried rice. There are so many choices at low prices. I highly recommend this place!
