After exploring several parks along Kohala Coast, we headed to Cafe Pesto for lunch, a nice Italian restaurant.
It was dyingly hot at noon. We didn’t bring enough water, so we had fresh fruit juice to start. I vaguely remembered that I had the blend with guava and passionfruit, which was very refreshing. We randomly ordered Pacific Crab Cake Salad to start, as we wanted to have more seafood. It was good, and I loved the crab cake a lot. We ordered the Oriental al Pesto Pizza for our main course, which was meatless. It came with basil pesto, garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, and Japanese eggplant. It looked quite small with only 6 slices, but we didn’t finish it at the end. I was pretty sure that it was a true Italian pizza. I felt that I was so used to the pizzas from the chain store, and thus I didn’t find it to be super tasty and had a slice after a slice.
I have to say that I didn’t have a strong impression of the food here. Maybe the reason was that I had a very nice dinner at Napua the previous night. Or maybe we didn’t order the right food. Or we didn’t feel well due to the hot weather. I think I love pasta more than pizza. Nevertheless, I think it is still a decent restaurant and worths coming again in the evening.
